As a key component to solve the problem of wire winding during the winding process, slip rings are an important member of the advanced marine equipment development industry chain. In recent years, JINPAT has introduced many conductive slip rings for marine equipment manufacturing.

Slip rings are installed on the base of small-tonnage telescopic boom cranes and on cable drums of heavy-duty cranes on various engineering ships. The slip rings developed by JINPAT Formarine Cranes are all high-current series of aircraft structure. These products have high working voltage and transmission force. In order to adapt to different application environments, JINPAT engineers will integrate heating and cooling devices or both into the products. Slip rings used in oil drilling platforms will also have an explosion-proof design.

For example, JINPAT LPA000-09800-01PE-3020-04L is a high-current slip ring developed for professional floating marine cranes. Its high-current unit integrates 9 channels with 800A current and one grounding channel. The voltage of this unit is 440VAC, and the remaining 30 channels of 20A are 230VAC. Single channel currents less than 1000A and voltages between 380 to 600VAC are also the most commonly used voltage and current ranges for conductive slip rings in marine equipment. Forslip rings used in some special marine equipment may have higher voltages.

In the same power transmission capacity, high voltage means low current, and high voltage can transmit electricity to a longer distance. Therefore, this kind of slip rings is often seen in deep-sea exploration and scientific research vessels. These slip rings for marine equipment generally have an operating voltage of 4000VAC or higher. There are two kinds of products that can be distinguished by their appearance structure. One is the conventional carbon brush type airframe slip ring, which has a larger size and representative products such as LPA000-0250-FO04. The other kind of products uses a laminated structure of ordinary slip rings instead of the airframe structure. It selects special plastic materials that can withstand ultra-high voltage insulation materials to ensure that the slip ring can work normally at 4000VAC or higher voltage. The representative model of this kind of slip ring is LPA000-2650-06S, etc.
